Low Bobbin Indicator

Know when it is time to change your bobbin to avoid running out of thread in the middle of your quilting design. This feature is available on Millennium and Freedom models.

Top Thread Break Sensor

When you're quilting a pantograph your eyes are on the design and not your thread. With this feature, you'll be alerted if the top thread breaks so you can quickly get back to quilting.

Millennium & Freedom Table Options

APQS Millennium and Freedom quilting machines feature an aluminum alloy table that comes in three sizes: 10-, 12- or 14-foot by 46". The table is also height adjustable.  The table has comforter quilting capability and storage underneath accommodating up to a 50'' diameter roll.

Lucey & Lenni Table Options

APQS Lucey & Lenni quilting machines feature an aluminum alloy table that comes in two sizes: 10- and 12-

Throat size

Throat size is the space under the machine's arm. Having a large space to quilt means you can select the large designs we all love without having to stitch them in two passes.

Stitch regulator

When you use an APQS longarm machine you'll immediately notice the superior stitch quality. It's one of the main reasons people turn to APQS for their longarm needs.

As opposed to the digital stitch-regulators commonly used in other longarm machines, the APQS stitch regulator uses "fuzzy logic" to create a range of values. Simply select 8 to 15 stitches per inch to produce consistent stitches every time - even as you change quilting speed or direction.

The result? Easier and more inspired quilting.  Click here to find out more and take our "Stitch Regulator Challenge".

Bobbin thread cutter

Easily swap out thread colors and change the location of the machine on the quilt by automatically cutting your bobbin thread with the touch of a button.

This is available on our Millennium model only.

Multi-position handles

Fully adjustable handles allow you to change your grip depending on the type of quilting you do while still being able to control the machine even when it is at the back of the table. Simple controls at your fingertips help you master your machine faster as you grow as a quilter.Click here to find out more.

Standard on the Millennium, Freedom, and Lucey models.

Channel locks

Our Millennium longarm machines include electronic channel locks for straight-line quilting. With the touch of a button, your wheels are locked out so the machine can only be moved in one direction. Straight line stitching can be made with precision.

The Millennium is equipped with horizontal and vertical channel locks, while the Freedom, Lucey and Lenni come with vertical locks only.

Horizontal wheels

Our machines are perfectly balanced on a horizontal wheel that allows you the ease of movement you desire to stitch beautiful motifs easily with superb handling. It includes a set of wheels directly below the head for forward and backward movement, and another set of carriage wheels for sideways movement. The result? You can sew in any direction with total ease.  Click here to find out more.

Adjustment-free quilt take-up roller

Most machine tables require the quilter to raise the take up bar as the quilt sandwich is advanced to keep it from rubbing on the throat of the machine.

The APQS adjustment free quilt take up roller is already elevated into the dead center of the throat of our machines. As a result, there is no adjustment needed even at the end of a king or queen quilt. The quilt sandwich is perfectly aligned with the center of the throat and elevated up in the air without needing any thought from the quilter.

The leveler bar is located in front of the take up bar and it keeps your work surface level so the tension of your stitches is the same whether you are stitching at the front of the table or the back of the table.

Laser light with front and rear post

Quilters love how easy it is to follow a paper pattern with the precision laser. Power is supplied directly from the machine so you don’t have batteries to replace.

Bobbin winder

The key to consistent tension is consistently wound bobbins.

The Turbo Bobbin Winder (only offered with Millennium and Freedom machines) is a high-quality industrial bobbin winder that evenly and quickly loads your bobbins with reliable tension. Load your own bobbins with thread that matches your specific needs so you can focus on the quilting process.

Our Lucey, Lenni and George machines are equipped with a Sidewinder Deluxe bobbin winder.

Two bobbin options

When you purchase an APQS machine you have the option between two bobbins: Smart Bobbin or Big Bobbin.

Synchronous timing belt drive

APQS machines are precisely held in time through our belt drive technology. Building a machine that will not fall out of time on its own means your tension and stitch integrity will be the same for the life of your machine.

We know setting tension can be intimidating. That’s why we’ve built our machines with only a single tension knob. Plus, having only one place to set tension means our machines can run a wide range of even the most finicky threads opening up your creative options.

Self lubricating bushings

We chose only the finest mechanical components for the hard working internal parts of our quilting machines. The amount of oil required to care for the machine is a fraction of what other quilting machines need making maintenance simple and easy.

Heavy-duty, fully-enclosed DC motor

APQS combines technology with sleek design to give you a beautiful machine with the horsepower you need. Our integrated electronics and motor are tucked away behind the clean lines of our machines. From the moment you drive an APQS machine, you'll know the power you crave is under the hood.

Variable needle speed

Different types of quilting require a quilter to dial in the speed of the needle to match the complexity of the design. A touch of the button gives you the control you need without having to navigate through a series of menus.

APQS quilting machines give you the ability to control the stitches per minute anywhere from 0-3500

Interchangeable Hopping foot

Are you quilting around complicated applique? Change out the machine’s hopping foot to an open toe design! Your machine comes ready to accept different feet for the different kinds of quilting you do.

The foot height can be adjusted up and down depending on the thickness of batting and/or fabric. Several optional accessory feet are available to help you explore other quilting techniques with your new longarm

Automatic needle positioner

Select whether you wish to work in the needle down or needle up position. When you come to a halt your APQS machine will not stop partially in the fabric - it will either stop in the full up or full down position depending on your preference.

The positioner also helps maintain constant speed and torque of the machine and speeds up the outlining process.

Single stitch button, two position

Easily bring the bobbin thread to the top to keep the back of your quilt free from thread tails. Whether you like to tack your starting/ending stitches or knot & bury, you can control it all with the touch of a button.

Our single stitch button makes bringing the bobbin thread to the top a simple task and it helps simplify basting stitches.

LED lighting

Bright clear lighting of your workspace increases your accuracy. LED lighting floods your work area with bright light so you can see every stitch, every detail. The light is mounted on the machine and moves with you as you move around the pattern.
